I was also discussing the looming "economic downturn" amongst other topics.
My best friend was working for Countrywide.
I said I had told him a year or more before that I saw some issues with Countrywide, even though most people would say they were very successful. I didn't work for the company, my buddy told me about how the company was run and I read newspapers.
I said that they were not prepared for a downturn, they would go under, and be bought by Bank of America.
And then what happened...?
