An update for an expression

posted April 24, 2010

I said it June 30, 2006 and in my updated version of the Sermon.

Anyone can wear a hoodie.   Clothing does not necessarily indicate whether someone is my friend or my enemy.  It might have occurred to you as well, but I feel compelled to explain as well:

Anyone can wear a cross.

Wearing a cross does mean something.  It usually identifies you as Christian but if you look a bit closer some of my worst enemies, people who are the worst sinners of all, have been seen lately wearing a cross.

So, to me, the mere act of wearing a cross is not that meaningful.

But we will see soon enough how much it will count in the "big picture."
